The present day Town Tax Map shows the Rocky Point Avenue Extension as a "Public Highway." The
present owners of the land to the south claim it as their own but do not pay taxes. Since 1888, it has been
treated as a "Public Highway" by the Town, and was considered a Town Landing until "Private Property"
signs were installed in about 1979.
